Jacob began serving as the Interim Music Minister at Heritage Baptist Church in July 2019. In January 2020, the church voted to remove the interim tag and call Jacob into the position full-time. Jacob holds a bachelor's degree in Worship Leadership from the University of Mobile and a Master of Divinity from Liberty University. He is also a commissioned officer in the Alabama Army National Guard as a Chaplain Candidate. Jacob's responsibilities include leading the congregation in worship through music, directing the choir, managing and leading the audio/visual ministry, preaching/teaching, and discipling individuals serving in the music ministry. He is also responsible for various other tasks pertaining to the daily operation of Heritage Baptist Church.
Jacob and his wife Emma-Ruth (who grew up at HBC) were married October 2, 2021. Jacob loves reading theology books, playing guitar, fishing, sports, hunting, music, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
